How to Measure Your Caravan for Transport

This is maybe the most important thing we need to really know when we first talk to you regarding your freight transport.

We need to know that when we arrive to load your Caravan, Boat or trailer that its going to fit and we have sent the right truck to suit your needs.

Below is a picture showing the two main measurements we require.

Measurement B is Tow ball to the extreme rear so if your Caravan has a spare wheel on the rear that measurement needs to include the spare wheel, or in the case of Boats it needs to be from tow hitch to the rear of the motor.

How to measure my boat for transportThe next measurements we will need is the width and that measurement is from the widest point usually with boats this will be towards the Bow of the boat and with Caravans t will be either the rear or front of the body of the caravan.

Last is the Height and this measurement is from the ground to the heighest point of the van or boat, including any hatches, lights or antennas.

Classic car transport from Brisbane

Steve takes care of our Melbourne to Brisbane runs and in these pics you will see him loaded with some classic cars from Brisbane.

With this little Scania and trailer, Steve can get some of the lowest sports cars loaded and delivered to your door with ease.

We have 2 runs from Melbourne to Brisbane and return each week.

Note: If your vehicle doesn’t run that’s not a problem like all our trucks the Scania is also fitted with a winch and can load all non running vehicles.

We picked this Mini Electric Wheeled Loader from an auction in Perth

This little wheeled loader would be a great little machine for around the house getting the garden in shape.

I have never seen one of these before but they look really good.

Stretched Limos are usually very hard to transport due to the long wheel base of the vehicle,

They tend to want scrape half way up the rear ramps of the trailer but with this trailer and the degree rise of the ramps a stretched limo will go on with ease. This Stretched limo was Transported from Perth to Melbourne without any problems. So give us a call if you have a Stretched limo or any low Vehicle that needs to be transported from interstate.
